The longest tenured AHS-only employee, Brian was hired in 1980 to create Affiliated Collections, Inc., (ACI) where he still serves as President.  Brian has served many roles in the organization including creating Affiliated Transcription Services in 1999.  Brian has line responsibility for Affiliated Laboratory, Capital Ambulance, Miller Drug and compliance services.

A native of Bangor, Maine, he earned his undergraduate degree from the Merrimack College and his MBA from Boston College.  Brian is involved in many community activities including the United Way.

A lifelong Yankees fan in a sea of Red Sox rooters, Brian and his wife Susan have four sons, four grandsons and reside in Bangor.

Don started his EMHS career in 1974 washing dishes in the EMMC Dietary Department. He subsequently earned an undergraduate degree in Business from Husson College and later an Executive MS in Health Administration from the University of Colorado, all while managing a variety of progressively challenging administrative responsibilities across EMHS. Don's current position includes responsibility for AHS' overall financial services, leadership of Information Systems & Technology initiatives and several of AHS' joint ventures.

Don is the company thespian (performing with and serving on the Board of Directors of a local theater group), the leader of "Dr. One-Stop", AHS rock n' roll band; a past Chair of the local Red Cross Chapter and current Chair of the EMMC Federal Credit Union board of directors.

A native of Winterport, Don lives in Hampden with his wife Debbie. They have three adult children and five grandchildren

Hired by EMMC as a Loss Prevention Manager in 1987, Lee managed the self-insured workers’ compensation, employee safety and health promotion programs until 1997.  In 1998 he transferred to EMH as its Human Resource Manager, serving as a corporate liaison to several affiliated corporations.  In 2000, he joined AHS as its first V.P. of Human Resources.  In addition to his responsibilities at AHS, Lee continues to be actively involved in EMHS’ self-insured workers’ comp program (26 member group with 472 million in payroll) as its V.P. of Claims. 

A native of St. Francis, located deep in the northern Maine woods, Lee earned his B.S. degree from the University of Maine at Fort Kent.  An avid runner, skier, canoeist and Master Maine Guide, he lives in Bangor with his wife Dawn and their two sons.

A member of the Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems family for thirty-five years, starting as an Assistant Administrator at EMMC in 1976, Miles has been with AHS since its inception in 1984 and in his current position for the last five years. He also serves as AHS' Chief Sales and Marketing Officer and head cheerleader.

A native of Lubec, he earned his undergraduate degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA from the University of Florida.

Miles currently serves as a member of the Maine Innovation Economy Advisory  Board (the Maine EPSCoR Committee);  the University of Maine Board of Visitors, the City of Bangor Planning Board, the leadership group of Mobilize Eastern Maine and the Board of Directors of Associated Health Resources (a for-profit subsidiary of the Maine Hospital Association). He is also the Chair of the Balckstone Accelerates Growth Innovation Initiative.

He previously served on the Boards of Directors of the Bangor YMCA, The Jewish Community Council of Bangor, Congregation Beth Israel and the United Way of Penobscot Valley. He is a past Chair of the Greater Bangor Area Chamber of Commerce.

He lives in Bangor with his wife Sharon. They have two adult daughters.

Scott A. Oxley is the Sr. Vice President of Support Services for Affiliated Healthcare Systems (AHS).  In this position, he oversees the collection agency, transcription, medical supply sales, warehousing and distribution, web-based application development and support, Workforce Performance Solutions, drug and alcohol testing services, retirement community, and medical transportation dispatch and billing.

Scott previously was interim treasurer and chief financial officer for Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems. In this capacity, he was responsible for developing a financial roadmap and guiding the system in accordance with its strategic financial plan. 

He also served as the vice president and chief accounting officer for EMHS. In this role, he ensured the integrity and consistency of consolidated financial information reported by EMHS in addition to overseeing the daily operations of 170 employees who provide centralized support services to EMHS member organizations.

Prior to coming to EMHS in 1993, Scott worked for two of the national accounting firms that are located in Portland, Maine. He began his career at EMHS as an internal auditor, and then as a financial analyst. In 1997, he was promoted to the position of director of Financial Services and then to the position of vice president, chief accounting officer in 2003.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Accounting from Husson College (now Husson University) in Bangor, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Maine. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association as well as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. 

Scott serves as director for the Maine Hospital Association’s Associated Health Resources Inc. His civic involvement includes director for the Katahdin Council Inc., Boy Scouts of America, we he also serves as a Boy Scout leader. Scott coaches several area youth athletic programs throughout the year and is director of the Brewer Soccer Club. 

Scott and his wife Donna reside in Brewer with their two children, Madison and Cameron.

Catharine works closely with WPS client organizations and her incredibly talented team to provide the highest level of specialized organizational development services, management/HR consultations, training, critical incident support and direct assessment, short-term counseling, and referral services to EAP clients. She serves as the Secretary on the Human Resources Association of Southern Maine (HRASM) Board of Directors and the Maine Employee Assistance Professionals Association Board of Directors. Catharine has been a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) since 1998 and is a certified supervisor and trainer in cognitive behavioral therapy as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maine and Connecticut and a qualified DOT Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). Catharine has had the great privilege to work in a wide range of Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and training settings in Colorado, New York and Maine. She received a doctorate in clinical social work from New York University, a master’s degree in social work with a clinical concentration from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Virginia.

Chuck was first hired by Capital Ambulance in 1995 as a paramedic and was a member of the first critical care transport team that was formed in 1997. In 1999, Chuck was recruited by MedComm LLC (AHS et al) to oversee its reorganization from a nurse triage and medical call center into a dedicated statewide EMS communications and billing center. In 2002, Chuck rejoined Capital Ambulance as its Chief Operating Officer.  Chuck has moved Capital in a positive direction, including achieving profitability not recognized since the acquisition of the company. Chuck serves on the executive committee of the Maine Ambulance Association as Treasurer and is often involved in various legislative and governmental initiatives.

Chuck is a MBA graduate from the Maine Business School and holds a Bachelors of Science in Zoology from the University of Maine. A sixth generation Maine native, and is an avid fisherman and photographer. Chuck lives in Newburgh with his wife Becky and daughter, Robin.

Dan has been involved in the courier delivery business since 1985 when he worked for Affiliated Laboratories in the client response department. From there he went on to manage a small local courier company in Bangor for 6 years. In 1994 he started his own courier company and it evolved into Commercial Delivery Services, Inc in March of 2000. In January of 2004 Dan partnered with AHS and collaboratively they formed a new joint venture that is known today as Commercial Delivery Systems, LLC. Dan is graduate Hampden Academy class of 1980 and currently resides in Hampden with his sons Benjamin, Jacob and the loving memory of Nathan.

Employed since April 2003 with Affiliated Materiel Services (AMS), the supply and logistics company for AHS and EMHS. Daryl has the day to day responsibilities of the operations of the warehouse and transportation staff. He was instrumental in selecting and installing a state of the art voice picking system for the materials warehouse. With the transportation division, Daryl and his team are constantly adjusting and making more efficient the AMS courier services for all the changes that have incurred in the EMHS system as a result of new buildings and services. Also Daryl spear headed a project to locate AMS into a new state of the art warehouse complex in Bangor. AMS moved into that new 50,000 sq ft warehouse in October 2008. AMS is a tenant in a 200,000 sq ft joint venture facility. Daryl is the facilities manager of this warehouse joint venture for the three owners. In addition Daryl is a member of the steering committee responsible for the AHS investment in and management of Commercial Delivery Systems, a package delivery service serving Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Most recently he has been involved in projects relating to analyzing and planning for a possible new laundry for EMHS. A native of Brewer, he earned his undergraduate engineering degree from Cornell University. Daryl has been involved in many community activities including Boy Scouts, his church, Jaycees, Rotary, and the United Way. Daryl and his wife Pamela have two grown sons and reside in Brewer.

Jamie has been with AHS for over 14 years. Joining the AHS team in 1997 as a Receptionist/Administrative Secretary she was promoted to her current position Director of Marketing in 2004.

A native of Perry, Maine she attended the University of Maine at Fort Kent and Washington County Community College. She is a proud graduate of Healthcare Leadership Academy, Bangor Region Leadership Institute, Dale Carnegie: Skills for success and Innovation Engineering Leadership Institute.

Julie was hired as ACI's Office Manager in September of 1991 and was promoted to the position of Operations Manager in June of 2003. Prior to working at ACI, she was employed at EMMC for almost nine years where her first job was a full-time file clerk. At the time of her transfer to ACI she was a supervisor in the Cash Control Department of Patient Account Services. Julie attended the University of Missouri in Columbia. She spends as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren. Watching the sunrises and sunsets on Sanibel/Captiva Islands is her favorite guilty pleasure.

A part of the EMHS system for 30 years, Karen started as a Medical Technologist working on the bench and assuming various management positions within ALI. Karen has been with ALI since it was established in 1983 and the VP/COO since October of 1998. A native of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, she earned her undergraduate degree from University of Maine at Orono. She is a member of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA) and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP). Karen is the current chair of the Laboratory Affinity Group.

She lives in Dover-Foxcroft and has a grown daughter and son.

Kelley began with AHS 25 years ago in a support position for the marketing department and in 1994 was promoted to Director of Business Support Services, with responsibility for the overall operations/sales of ADTS, AHS' workplace drug testing services division. Kelley grew up in Orrington and attended Husson College in Bangor. Kelley is the chair of AHS' Total Health Committee, and is active in several internal and external committees, including the Bangor Region Chamber Building Bridges Committee, the EMHS CR Affinity Group and the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Regulations/Governmental Affairs Committee. Kelley and her husband Saeed live in Bangor with their daughter Alia.

Kent is a native of Maine, graduating from Orono High School with honors and multiple varsity letters in track and field. Kent started his pharmacy career as a delivery driver at Miller Drug in 1981 and has over 30 years practical pharmacy experience in all areas of pharmacy, including operations and management. He studied Computer Science at the University of Maine at Orono, turned down acceptance into Embry-Riddle and MIT, then shifted gears and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a 5-year Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and is licensed to practice pharmacy in both Connecticut and Maine. In addition, Kent is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Leadership Advantage, Advisory Board Company Leadership Academy, and is a State Certified Immunization Pharmacist.

Kent came to Affiliated Healthcare Systems through Affiliated Pharmacy Services in December 2000. He served proudly as Pharmacist in Charge of Riverside Pharmacy on the campus of Eastern Maine Medical Center for 10 years before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer prior to the Affiliated Pharmacy merger with Miller Drug. Kent now serves as Executive Director of Miller Drug, assisting in ongoing operations and financial management, and acts as professional liaison between the multiple Miller Drug pharmacies and many State and Federal agencies including the DEA and the Maine Board of Pharmacy.

Kent’s hobbies include hiking, photography, building and flying radio controlled airplanes. He enjoys his volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity and he is also recognized at the Leadership Level with the United Way.

Kent resides in Stetson with his wife Marcy and 3 children.

Steve has been within the EMHS family since 1987, with Dirigo Pines since 2005, and with AHS since 2010.  At Dirigo Pines Retirement Community in Orono, Steve has the pleasure of doing the marketing and sales in bringing prospects to the Dirigo Pines Inn and the Dirigo Pines Homeowners Corporation.  He has multifaceted responsibilities including being a marketing and sales director, mediator, confidant, real estate broker, friend, and being the public face of the community.  Steve is actively involved with the Bangor Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Lifeline Antique Appraisal Fundraiser, his church, and Kiwanis.  He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine.  Steve and his wife Jayne live in Veazie and have two grown children and two grandchildren on whom they dote.
